Randina Hoyt, IBCLC, Doula

I want a mother to know that she can be fully open and honest with me and know that I will address all her concerns and questions.

Motherhood and the breastfeeding journey can be challenging and I am here to give you the support, encouragement, and all of my knowledge to answer those questions and help you overcome those challenges.

We live in a society where we no longer have our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters in our ‘"villages" and "tribes". But we still need the support to help us navigate this thing called "motherhood".

A little about me...

Hello! I'm Randina, and I'm an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) that has been offering breastfeeding support and education to mothers and families for more than 8 years. At the start of my career, I earned a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) certification through the Healthy Children Project and became a trained labor and birth doula through DONA International in 2014.

After graduating from Union Institute & University with a BS in Maternal Child Health and Lactation in 2019, I earned the highest credentials in lactation, IBCLC, in January of 2021. In addition to being a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), I have had the pleasure of counseling over 500 mother/baby dyads to date.

I have one daughter that I breastfed for 2 ½ years through many struggles of my own which led me to my passion for helping other mothers with their breastfeeding journeys.

I am passionate about ensuring that every mother feels fully supported and is given the most evidence-based information to make their breastfeeding journey a success.

God designed us to nourish our children. It may not be an easy journey, but it will be worth it! I am dedicated to giving you and your family the support to help you provide the best nutrition and care for your baby.

“Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you, even at my mother’s breast.” – Psalm 22:9 NIV
